This course is created so you can experience the add-on exactly as your students and instructors will see it. Everything you try here runs on the real frontend of the plugin.

Chat Room Add-on brings real-time conversation into your LearnPress courses. Instead of leaving students alone with videos and materials, it creates a live chat room right beside the course content so learners can ask questions, discuss lessons, and stay engaged without leaving the page.

• Flexible messaging: WP Polling (works out of the box) or Pusher Channels (for instant delivery)
• @user mentions, emoji reactions, quote replies, and pinned messages
• Full moderation tools for instructors: mute with timer, ban, delete messages, lock the room
• Dedicated Instructor Profile tab to manage all chat rooms in one place

How to test the frontend

1. Enroll in this course (if you are not already enrolled).
   Only enrolled students can see and use the chat room.
2. Open any lesson or the course page.
   Look for the Chat Room panel (usually on the side or below the content). This is the live frontend interface.
3. Try the student experience
   • Send a message
   • Use @ to mention another user
   • React with emojis
   • Reply to a specific message (quote reply)
   • Edit or delete your own messages
4. Try the instructor/moderator experience (if you have instructor access)
   • Pin an important message
   • Mute or ban a user
   • Lock the entire room
   • Go to your Instructor Profile → Chat Rooms tab to manage rooms across courses
5. Explore different scenarios
   Open the chat while watching a lesson, switch between tabs, or open the course on another device to see how the real-time updates work.
